Founder
PTPLA was founded because I believe that every student, regardless of background or circumstance, has the potential to become a leader of today and tomorrow. Our school is more than academics; it's about nurturing the whole person, fostering a sense of community, and instilling the values of excellence and responsibility. Together, we are shaping a future where every student can thrive and succeed.
Why PTPLA?
Why PTPLA? At Proud to Partner Leadership Academy (PTPLA), we are more than just a high school; we are a beacon of opportunity and empowerment. As the only charter high school of its kind in the state, PTPLA was founded by a visionary black woman with a passion for uplifting students often overlooked by traditional educational systems. We proudly embrace the John Maxwell iLead principles, guiding our students towards confident leadership beyond graduation. PTPLA was born out of the necessity to partner with the students whom other schools have left behind, and we take immense pride in this mission. Join us as we cultivate a culture of excellence, community, and personal growth, preparing our students to lead and succeed in a rapidly changing world.
Connected
We create relationships for students, families, and community partners to build a specific plan for your future.
A school for our community, by our community, where everyone belongs and we are respected and valued.
Belonging
As a family, we take the time to show you love and nurture your hopes and dreams.
