Born and Raised in Los Angeles, Gemma Bernardino now calls Oklahoma City home where she serves as an Administrative Assistant and Board Clerk at Proud To Partner Leadership Academy . Her Initial aspiration was to join the United States Marine Corps, but life's unexpected twists led her to a fulfilling career in the education field along with nursing. She firmly believes that personal development can be achieved through daily experiences and she's dedicated to making a positive impact in her community .

Gabriel Johnson comes to us from Baltimore, Maryland having attended University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. He is the Esports and coding coach at Proud to Partner Leadership Academy. He also assists students in the electives hub and, as he makes Oklahoma his home, will be attending Langston University.


Naomi Johnson, born Kansan, has worked in schools for 10 years. She has a certificate in administrative assistance and loves working with kids of all ages. Mrs. Johnson is now working at Proud to Partner Leadership Academy as a site substitute teacher.

Alara Miller is a recent Oklahoma resident fresh from California. Mrs. Miller received her formal education at California State University – Sacramento where she earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, University of Phoenix where she earned a Master’s degree in Education Studies, and National University where she earned a Special Education teaching credential. Mrs. Miller’s philosophy is simple: Each one, teach one.

Chante Randle-Geil is the Cultural Performing Arts teacher for the Ambassadors attending PTPLA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and expects to complete her Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Idaho in 2026. She was born and raised in Oklahoma. At a young age, she discovered her passion for performance arts and sought every possible route to continue within that passion and share that joy with students.

Kristanza Rowland serves as the History teacher at Proud to Partner Leadership Academy. She has a Bachelors Degree in History from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mrs. Rowland is a hybrid teacher and lives in Arkansas with her family.

Rachel Brainard serves as the founding math teacher at PTPLA. She holds Bachelors degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Concordia University, Nebraska and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. She is also certified in the Bootstrap curriculum. She has a passion for making math relevant for all learners and believes that every student has the ability to succeed.
